Planned pilot · Multiple Bahamian islands

Your next taxi.
A local connection.

A new service being planned by CrewPosition to help passengers find nearby licensed taxi drivers, compare ratings, contact a driver, and book with an upfront fare.

For passengers · planned features

Choose your driver with more confidence

Compare available drivers by proximity, vehicle capacity, and ratings. Request the taxi that fits your trip, with confirmation from the driver before a booking is accepted.

Enquire about passenger access →

Nearby and available

Find drivers who have chosen to be available for bookings. Pickup availability will depend on local access and taxi-stand rules.

Ratings that mean something

Planned reviews from completed platform bookings, with a visible review count and a way to report concerns.

A clear total

Review an upfront fare based on applicable taxi rules, plus any permitted, disclosed booking charges. No surge pricing is planned.

For licensed taxi drivers

Bring your taxi business online

Licensed drivers and taxi operators will be invited to apply for the multi-island pilot when onboarding opens. The planned driver app would let you manage availability, receive direct booking requests, communicate with passengers, and review payments.

Register your driver interest by email →

Expressions of interest are welcome. Formal driver applications are not open yet.

Registration will include verification

Before activation, we plan to check the driver's public service licence, taxi franchise and vehicle registration, inspection status, commercial insurance, and applicable business credentials. Eligibility and renewal checks will be part of onboarding.

For your initial enquiry, send only your name, preferred contact method, and island or service area. Please do not email licence photos, identity documents, banking details, or payment-card information; these will require a separate secure onboarding process.

Registration, commission, and booking-fee terms have not been set. There is no payment or membership commitment at this stage.

Trips we are exploring

Everyday rides and planned journeys

The planned scope is local taxi journeys on multiple Bahamian islands. Each island will open separately after its drivers, fares, operating requirements, and pickup arrangements are confirmed.

Local taxi trips

Direct requests for available licensed taxis, subject to pickup eligibility and driver confirmation.

Scheduled pickups

Advance requests for hotel, business, and event journeys, with trip reminders and clear cancellation terms.

Airport transfers

A proposed later service, dependent on airport access, dispatch, and pickup arrangements being confirmed.

Before rides begin

Built around the licensed taxi trade

The planned network connects passengers with licensed taxi operators. It is not an invitation for unlicensed private vehicles to carry paying passengers.

Can I book or pay for a taxi now?

No. This page introduces a proposed service. You can email an expression of interest now. Driver registration, live listings, bookings, ratings, and payments have not launched. No launch date is confirmed.

Which islands will be available?

We are planning for multiple Bahamian islands. Participating islands and service areas will be announced as local driver onboarding and operating arrangements are confirmed. A listing on one island will not imply availability on another.

How would fixed fares and booking charges work?

We plan to show a confirmed fare before booking, using the applicable fare framework for the island and trip. Any separate booking fee, permitted supplement, cancellation charge, or optional tip would be identified before payment. Fare and fee arrangements require review before launch.

Who would handle payments?

CrewPosition plans to manage booking charges, payment records, receipts, and support through an agreed payment-provider arrangement. Collection, driver payouts, refunds, and dispute responsibilities must be confirmed before any money is accepted.

Will the service follow Bahamian taxi rules?

That is a condition of the pilot. Driver eligibility, fares, dispatch requirements, and pickup restrictions must be confirmed with the relevant authorities and advisers before launch. This page does not represent government approval or a transport licence.

Would drivers need Intune or a managed company phone?

No. The proposed taxi driver app would use driver-controlled availability. CrewPosition's optional company-phone management service is separate from the taxi network.

Help shape the multi-island pilot

We plan to hear from licensed drivers, taxi operators, hotels, local businesses, and future passengers as the service takes shape.
